The present paper identifies and assesses different configurations to design logistics networks in global sourcing contexts. We develop a framework to support the choice of the most suitable logistics network configuration, by proposing an evaluation of the cost-effectiveness of the various alternatives, deriving the overall logistics cost by means of a simulation method.
