Cefla, a company established as a cooperative in Imola in 1932, specializes in electrical and thermohydraulic systems. In the 1950s, Cefla diversified into new areas of business, setting up three operating divisions that produce civil and industrial technology systems for cogeneration and power generation. Cefla also produces shelving, counters, integrated racks, and display units for the retail and wholesale distribution industries, and wood-painting and paint-drying products. In 1990, the company entered the dental sector, creating a fourth industrial division. Challenges
- Reduce IT maintenance costs and improve productivity to manage customers, activities, and products produced in its plants by using the multilanguage, localization support of Oracle’s JD Edwards platform as the only solution for the group’s domestic and foreign branches
- Respond more quickly to fulfill customer orders for retail and wholesale storage and counters, as well as for its technology, dental, and paint products and to confirm raw materials and the availability of products in stock
- Optimize the time that IT personnel can spend supporting strategic products that advance the company’s four lines of business by reducing the IT management burden
