The A.T. Kearney Assessment of Excellence in Procurement (AEP) is the gold standard of supply management organization benchmark studies.

The 2017 Assessment of Excellence in Procurement is the ninth in a series that began in 1992. The AEP focuses on leadership practices in supply management and resulting business performance. Previous AEP studies have found that more than half of the value chain comes from externally purchased goods and services and that leading companies increasingly find a way to drive more value from this dominant portion of their value chain.

The 2017 assessment has been dramatically improved and streamlined. We have included a Hot Topics section that explores the impact of disruptive forces like digital. By investing about two hours, you will receive:

• A customized feedback report that shows your procurement organization’s capabilities compared with other companies in your industry, region, and worldwide, and identifies gap areas across more than 40 leadership practices that your organization can address to become world class. For those who have taken the AEP previously, there is the opportunity to understand your progress.
• A CFO-friendly metric (Return on Supply Management Assets, or ROSMA) that communicates the financial value that your procurement organization delivers to your company.
• A comprehensive executive summary detailing how leaders are enhancing business performance through procurement excellence.

While all participants will receive a customized feedback report, the first 50 companies to complete the assessment will receive their results in June so they can take action in 2017.
