As our Operations Supervisor in our St. Charles facility, you'll supervise, guide and administer shipping/receiving operations, service and staff and ensure cost effectiveness, operational efficiency and adherence to excellent service standards. You'll assign and plan work activities of warehouse workers and shipping/receiving clerks and monitor work volumes. You'll manage the shipping and material handling flows, including maintaining work instructions, process improvements and the day-to-day issue troubleshooting. You'll utilize warehouse personnel and an ERP system to investigate and resolve problems. You'll also be responsible for interviewing and selecting new hires for position openings. You'll coach, develop and set goals for individual team members and make recommendations for performance management. You'll schedule and monitor employee attendance and complete appropriate payroll reports. This opportunity also involves developing, performing and/or setting-up training functions to enhance employee skills and knowledge and build strong work teams. In addition, you'll provide regular safety education and assure safety guidelines are being met; counsel employees regarding safety issues; evaluate urgency of incidents/accidents; and constantly evaluate appropriate ergonomics for work areas. 

  • High School diploma or GED, Bachelor's degree a plus
  • 4 years' experience working in a warehouse or shipping and receiving environment
  • 1-3 years' experience in a supervisory/lead role
  • Working knowledge of shipping and receiving processes and material flow in a warehouse environment
  • Working knowledge of computer software, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to supervise warehouse personnel in a 24/7 work environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and to load and unload boxes and packages on or off of a truck
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Experience working with SAP inventory management is a preferred
  • Experience with bar-coding, including labeling and utilizing a hand held scanner is preferred
