As our Slotting Area Manager, you’ll care for all Strategic plans associated with slotting activities. You’ll strengthen efficiency and through put in the facility by managing the slotting team, partnering with operations while planning efficient and executable strategies on a daily basis, communicate with upstream and downstream partners to help plan daily requirements, lead initiatives to provide increased visibility on slotting strategies. You will cultivate increased Reserve Storage density thru sustainable slotting and re-warehousing functions. You will work closely with Inventory Control teams to monitor and encourage increased inventory turns, drive appropriate storage capacity in picking areas by monitoring aging SKUs in pick modules. You’ll guide the team responsible for DC SKU slotting to drive efficiencies through processing, maintain visibility and communicate “Highly Sensitive” requirements to appropriate DC and WHQ teams, proactively evaluate DC slotting strategies to ensure processes continue to meet business needs. You’ll Increase efficiencies through DC by working with storage teams by driving high velocity product to most productive areas of warehouse, maintain outbound volume balance across storage areas to reduce potential DC bottlenecks, maintain appropriate space utilization of all Reserve areas.

  • Bachelor's degree in business management preferred; 2 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum of 3 years operation management experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of automated distribution systems
  • 2 years of previous management experience required
  • Experience with WMS and Excel required
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Word, Access, PowerPoint and SAP preferred
  • Experience using quantitative methods, time series analysis and inventory theory is desired
  • Experience with labor management systems preferred
  • Strong project management skills in order to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good to Advanced PC skills. Ability to forecast work flow and produce/interpret advanced analytics.
  • Ability to prioritize work flow and understand system capacities
  • Strong analytical and innovative skills for strategic planning sound decision-making, and problem solving and ability to work well under tight business driven deadlines
  • Ability to handle confidential matters in a professional manner
  • Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills, ability to lead other and influence at various levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of understanding and fostering a diverse workforce
  • Ability to embrace and promote other ideas
  • Ability to motivate and stay focused. Ability to work effectively on a team.
